The Lecco campus was the first Italian example of an ”English-style” campus. This combine spaces where students train (classrooms, study rooms and laboratories) and living spaces (the residence). The facility offers single, double rooms and a few places in a two-person flat.

Communal areas and a large kitchen can be found on the basement level. On the campus, built in recent years around the old hospital in Lecco, there is a cafeteria/restaurant. The Loos Hall of Residence in Lecco also offers a guesthouse service (rooms can be booked for short periods).

The city centre and the lake are within walking distance. You will have everything at your fingertips on this campus: housing, the University, and the city.

What is it

The Charter of Services is a document with which the Housing & Dining Unit of Politecnico di Milano informs users of the services made available to them within its residences.

Who is it for

It is for all guests of the residences of Politecnico di Milano.

What is it for

The Charter of Services contains, among other things, the following information:

• contact details of the Director of the structure;
• the list of common areas that can be used within the residence and the methods of access;
• the list of services available to guests and their delivery modes;
• the list of on demand services available in the structure and their methods of request;
• instructions for reporting faults and requests for intervention;
• supplementary and recreational activities organized within the structures and methods of participation/registration.

Curiosity

Adolf Loos (1870 – 1933) was an Austrian architect, among the forerunners of modern architecture. His most famous projects include the renovation of Villa Karma, Villa Steiner, the Looshaus and the Scheu House. Loos conceived architecture as a direct expression of the culture of people, and considered the ornamentation on buildings to be an avoidable, if not downright childish and useless excess.

Accomodation type

The “Loos” hall of residence offers its users 198 berds, divided into single, double rooms and mini-housing units. The following is available:

• single room with private bathroom;
• single room with a bathroom shared with another room;
• double room with private bathroom;
• bed in a two-room flat for two people;
• equipment for each guest: single bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe, bookcase;
• two-person flat equipment: two single beds, two desks, two wardrobes, kitchen with electric hob, refrigerator, microwave oven, pots and pans and crockery, dining table with chairs, sofa, TV;
• communal kitchens equipment: kitchen with electric and induction hobs, oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, personal lockers;
• bathroom facilities: all have a washbasin, shower and bidet. Some of them are equipped for people with motor disability.

Payment Methods

The payment is intended in advance and it is necessary to confirm the accommodation in the requested period. The payment methods will be given togheter with the confirmation of the availabiltiy of the required accommodation/s. Once the reservation procedure has been completed, no refund is expected. Possible subsequent extension of the period of stay and/or increments of the already agreed participants’ number are not guaranteed.

Regulations, damages and penalties

Guests in guestroom comply with the Regulations in force (residenze.gebsoftware.com/en/regolamento/) and undertake to pay for possible damages and penalties charged on them during the stay or at the check-out. In case of bookings done by an entity, in absence of the payment done by the guest, the service will ask the for the payment to the relevant entity.

In caso di prenotazioni effettuate da un ente specifico, in assenza del pagamento da parte del singolo ospite, ci si potrà rivalere sull’ente di riferimento.
