Galileo Galilei

The Galileo Galilei residence, built in 1947-50 by the architect Luigi Moretti, is in the heart of Milan, near the central Piazza San Babila. It is convenient for students attending the Leonardo campus and those enrolled at the Bovisa campus. In addition to Politecnico students, students are enrolled in Milan’s other universities and educational institutions, including the Conservatorio (Music Academy). Galilei is one of the few residences to have a music room among its communal areas. It consists mainly of single rooms with a bathroom shared with another single room and shared kitchens on each floor. Those wishing to apply must do so through the Diritto allo Studio call for applications as places reserved for Politecnico di Milano cannot be booked. Rooms for professors, researchers and visiting PhDs are available and can be booked through the Politecnico dedicated offices.
